Cauldron Punchbowl

I really like it when my holiday decorations are also practical objects, like this tabletop cauldron from Victorian Trading Company.

It's 11" and made of ceramic. They refer to it as a punchbowl with ladle, but I think I'll use mine to serve mashed potatoes or chili. I might even add a wire handle to mine using some #9 wire from the hardware store.  The total cost for this cauldron with ladle and lid, including shipping, was $46.90. To get yours, click here. 1. I'd love to be served chili out of that cauldron!

  2. Oh, I love The Victorian Trading Company! I used to get their catalog, but I'm not sure they send one anymore.

I just got a chance to read about Boney Island. What a cool attraction! I'm sure the kids love it. I liked the cauldron carnival ride best! Rick looks like such a fun person to be friends with.

I can't remember if I asked already, but are you on Twitter? If so, I'd like to add you to my "blog buddies" list on there!

  3. This year, Williams Sonoma has cauldrons. But they have no lid, no ladle, flat handles, and a bigger price tag.

  4. Oh, and to create some "fogging cauldron" effects as shown in the picture here, use dry ice. There are some great tips in this eHow article:
